The Flare is great for outfielders who want a wide, open pocket. The Twist is ideal for middle infielders needing quick ball transfer. The Roll is a classic choice for pitchers and players wanting traditional feel and control.

Is the break-in done by hand?

Question 6

What is the Japanese Yumomi Technique?

Accepted Answer

This time-honored Japanese technique involves carefully submerging the glove in controlled warm water to gently relax and open the stiff leather fibers. Once the leather is properly softened, the glove is hand-shaped to define the pocket, set the hinge points, and work in the heel. The glove is then placed in our controlled airbox system to thoroughly remove all remaining moisture.

This process allows for precise formation of the glove's structure while maintaining its integrity and long-term performance. Available as a $9.99 add-on service.

Question 7

Can you work with youth gloves?

Accepted Answer

Definitely! Youth gloves receive special attention. We create an easy close without over-softening, preserving structure so young players can develop proper fielding fundamentals.

Question 8

How do I take care of my glove after it's broken in?

Accepted Answer

A few minutes after each game protects the pocket you paid for: wipe off dirt and clay, store it with a ball in the pocket, keep it out of heat, and condition only when the leather looks dry. Our glove care guide walks through the full routine.
